About us
Wendy Dove BSc (Hons) Ost.
Wendy Dove is the founder osteopath of The Dove Practice. She studied at The British School of Osteopathy (BSO), the largest and longest established school of osteopathy in Europe, from where she graduated in 2001. Wendy is a BUPA and AXA PPP recognised practitioner.
Wendy practices general and cranial osteopathy with patients ranging from a few weeks old to very mature. She enjoys the variety of seeing patients with a wide range of conditions. Earlier experience in maternity clinics led to Wendy developing an interest in osteopathy’s role during pregnancy. Having undertaken some post-graduate training in cranial osteopathy, she finds this especially useful in the treatment of babies.
Previously, Wendy trained as an exercise teacher for adults, running a variety of exercise classes. With this background she finds it useful to be able to incorporate life style advice and simple exercise plans into her treatment program.
For recreation she enjoys dancing, and walking in Derbyshire.

Many of her more mature patients comment that her treatment has given them ‘a new lease of life’. She also enjoys treating sports men and women of various sporting disciplines, ranging from amateurs to Olympic hopefuls!
Personally, she likes to keep fit by running and cycling.
Osteopaths are primary health care professionals whose 4 year degree training is founded upon medical and clinical sciences.
Both Wendy Dove and Jenny Pritchard are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and British Osteopathic Association. They are also members of the local East Midlands Association of Osteopaths and are committed to continuing their professional development by regularly attending training courses. Visiting a registered osteopath gives patients the same rights as when they visit a doctor or dentist. Patients can consult with an osteopath without the need to see a doctor first.
